Regarding teens driving - Tandara, I heard about that accident. Yes, I shuddered. I also shudder each time the older daughter takes her sister anywhere. She is a good driver, though, and is paying for her car. Once we know what our new insurance rates will be, she'll be paying her share of that as well. Meanwhile, our 14 (almost 15) year old keeps reminding us that she will be eligible to drive in a year.

Valen, thank you for making me feel welcome. With welcomes like that I can ignore my basic insecurities!!! I'm glad to see all you folks here in cyberspace, as well.

Hopefully I'll get to meet another one of you in RL as well (I've been fortunate enough to meet Tandara). We're (my daughter, sister, and I) going to New York City tomorrow for Jacqui to go through a college interview. We'll stay until Saturday to play the tourist. If we're lucky, AsIs and I can connect. You know, AsIs, that nighttime ferry ride sounds wonderful. My sister thinks so too.

And Jacqui wants to know - is there really a Central Perk (a la "Friends") in New York? If so, she wants to go there, too!!!
